INTEGRATED ENGLISH PROGRAMS (READ, WRITE, LISTEN, SPEAK)
Integrated English programs for English as a Second Language (ESL) students are designed to bring a variety of English skills together. The name "integrated English" refers to the fact that these programs integrate the teaching of reading, writing, listening and speaking skills together, rather than teach them separately. Integrated English programs (which may also be known as intensive or immersion English language programs) can be challenging, but are excellent for students who want to approach language learning as a whole, rather than in distinct sections. In the US, integrated English programs may be offered at high schools, colleges, universities and private language institutes.
